Rainfall raises dams storage to 7.5mcm in 24 hours

Amman, Recent rainfall channeled 7.546 million cubic meters (mcm) in 24 hours into the Kingdom’s dams, raising their total amount to 78.5 mcm (27.93 percent) of the total capacity of 280 mcm.

The Ministry of Water and Irrigation said on Thursday that about 5.760 mcm were mainly poured into the Mujib Dam in Karak, 596,000 cubic meters into the Wala Dam in Madaba, and 248,000 cm into the Tanour Dam in Tafilah, while the dams of the King Talal, Wadi Al Arab, and Wihdeh received 665,000 cm, 80,000 cm and 98,000 cm respectively.
