Radaideh Honors Companies Advancing Green Business Solutions

Amman: Minister of Environment Dr. Muawieh Radaideh on Wednesday honored the 10 Jordanian companies that emerged as winners among the 61 participants in the National Call for Green Innovation Award.

According to Jordan News Agency, the initiative is part of the Green Action in Enterprises (GAIN) project, which receives funding from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The ceremony took place at the ministry’s headquarters, where Dr. Radaideh highlighted the project’s alignment with the Economic Modernization Vision as well as the ministry’s plans to support youth engagement in green economy and sustainable economic growth sectors.

The honored companies benefitted from technical assistance tailored to green business modeling, financial planning, and investment readiness, aiding them in developing their green business concepts. Dr. Radaideh also acknowledged the significant support provided by GIZ in facilitating the project.

Additionally, during the ceremony, five companies alongside GIZ signed memoranda of understanding to offer a “JumpStart” grant to the targeted firms. The 10 winning companies are set to receive continuous expert guidance to further their initiatives.
