Qatari newspapers highlighted Tuesday HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s visit to Canada which would contribute to promoting the constructive cooperation between the two countries.
In their editorials, the Qatari dailies stressed the significance of HH the Amir’s first official visit to Canada, which comes as part of Qatar’s endeavor to open up to the world and diversify strategic alliances amidst the current critical circumstances in the region.
The newspapers also touched on HH the Amir’s meeting with HE Speaker of the House of Commons of the British Parliament Lindsay Hoyle, which discussed the friendly relations and strategic cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United Kingdom.
The Qatari dailies highlighted the ConteQ Expo 2024 which kicked off yesterday, which showcases the State’s use of cutting-edge construction technologies and solutions in the construction and services sectors, further emphasizing its remarkable development in this field.
In its editorial entitled “Strong Re
lations,” Al-Watan said that the State of Qatar and Canada enjoy strong relations and shared keenness on promoting them in various fields.
Al-Watan pointed to the evolving partnership between the two countries thanks to the two leaderships’ continued coordination and consultations to elevate this partnership to broader horizons.
HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s visit to Canada today, and His Highness’s meeting with HE Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and several regional and international issues of common concern, will contribute to achieving more constructive cooperation as the two friendly countries work strongly through multilateral institutions, and firmly believe in the necessity of supporting international peace and security, Al-Watan stressed.
Meanwhile, Qatar and the United Kingdom enjoy historic ties that add weight and uniqueness to the bilateral relations, reflected in all areas of cooperation between the two countries, Al-Watan emphasized,
pointing in this context to HH the Amir’s meeting with HE Speaker of the House of Commons of the British Parliament Lindsay Hoyle. The meeting touched on the friendly relations and strategic cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United Kingdom, and ways to enhance and promote them, in addition to the most prominent regional and international developments. In its editorial entitled “Qatar and Canada… Strategic Alliance and Solid Cooperation,” Al-Raya said the relations between Qatar and Canada are deep-rooted, diverse, strong, and increasingly solid and gaining new momentum year after year. The two friendly countries are also in a state of permanent coordination and consultation on the bilateral cooperation and the localization of security, peace, stability and sustainable development regionally and internationally.

The partnership between Qatar and Canada is based on solid values at the bilateral and international levels. On more than one occasion, Canadian leaders expressed their appreciation for Qatars efforts in combating terrorism, extremism and crime at the global level. Canada is also considered a reliable ally that works towards calming tense situations at the global level, and Qatar views with great appreciation Canadas positions for achieving stability of the region, especially its continued support for the two-state solution, the establishment of a Palestinian state,
