President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), Dr. Mashhoor Rifai, discussed with Pakistani Ambassador to Jordan, Sajjad Ali Khan, ways to enhance cooperation with Pakistani universities.

In a PSUT press statement on Wednesday, Rifai lauded the “deep-rooted” Jordanian-Pakistani relations, adding that the university is working to activate and build on more cooperation opportunities with Pakistani universities.

During the meeting, Rifai briefed the diplomat and the accompanying delegation on PSUT’s programs, rankings, and the awards it won at international competitions.

Khan, for his part, praised the PSUT’s “high” position and its “remarkable” excellence at the local and international levels achieved in a “short” period.

The diplomat also highlighted Pakistan’s expertise in employing technology in industry, stressing his support for establishing more cooperation relations with PSUT.

Discussing future ties, PSUT’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Wejdan Abu Hayja, said the PSUT has already signed three agreements to enhance joint research cooperation, adding that five others could be concluded with the Pakistani side in joint academic programs and cultural exchange for workers and students in engineering sciences, technology, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and management sciences.
