Amman: Director of Public Security Directorate (PSD), Maj. Gen. Dr. Obeidallah Maaytah, met in his office with a delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management, led by Assistant Minister for Emergency Affairs, Munir Mustafa.
According to Jordan News Agency, Maaytah affirmed the PSD’s commitment to supporting Arab counterparts, aligning with Royal directives aimed at consolidating civil protection and emergency response. The director emphasized the PSD’s ongoing efforts to enhance joint security and humanitarian cooperation, which will enable both countries to efficiently address various challenges.
During the meeting, Mustafa praised the PSD’s capabilities and specialized units, highlighting their expertise in various operational fields. He called for leveraging Jordan’s training expertise and experience. Mustafa expressed Syria’s gratitude for the efforts of the Jordanian firefighting team during their participation in extinguishing fires in Latakia governorate.
Mustafa also commended Jordan’s rapid response and support for Syria, viewing it as an extension of Jordan’s historical support for Arab and foreign countries.
