Amman: Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Talal, Chairperson of the Higher Committee of the Charity and Benevolence Campaign in Jordan, has distributed aid as part of the campaign's Ramadan activities to residents in the Jabal Al-Naser area of Amman.
According to Jordan News Agency, the distribution took place at the Prince Hassan Camp Services Committee headquarters, a facility established through a royal grant. Princess Basma provided support to five women to enhance their income-generating projects and to ten university students pursuing job-market-relevant majors.
Additionally, at the Yarub Development Charity Association, Princess Basma presented support to upgrade the association's productive kitchen. This initiative aims to provide employment for four women and expand the kitchen's capacity, thereby increasing its revenue to support development programs for target groups.
The campaign also included the provision of supplies for preparing Ramadan meals, which the kitchen will distribute to 100 families in the Al-Naser camp area. During the distribution, Princess Basma commended the resilience of women with home-based production projects, emphasizing their innovative contributions to their families and communities.
Princess Basma highlighted the campaign's dedication to supporting partners by offering opportunities for the success and sustainability of projects. The focus is on equipping women with skills to manage and market their products, thus contributing to economic and social development.
Princess Basma reiterated the campaign's mission to uphold social solidarity and mutual support. She emphasized the crucial role of women in society and their importance in the developmental process, which the campaign aims to strengthen and promote.
