Amman: HRH Prince Rashid bin El Hassan, President of the Jordan Taekwondo Federation, presided over the graduation ceremony for the first phase of the Taekwondo program in youth centers, organized by the Ministry of Youth in cooperation with the Jordan Taekwondo Federation. The event was attended by key figures including Minister of Youth Raed Adwan, South Korean Ambassador to Jordan Kim Pil-woo, Secretary-General of the Ministry Mazen Abu Baqar, Amman City Director Raad Mirza, and Secretary of the Federation Faisal Abdallat.
According to Jordan News Agency, Minister Raed Adwan emphasized the significant role of Prince Rashid's patronage in advancing Taekwondo nationally, aligning with the royal vision led by His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, with additional support from HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee. He noted that the Ministry of Youth's partnership with the Taekwondo Federation has created a structured training pathway in youth centers aimed at optimizing young people's time, enhancing physical fitness, and fostering discipline and sportsmanship.
Faisal Abdallat, Secretary of the Federation, described the program as a pioneering national initiative that empowers youth by developing their physical and behavioral skills while reinforcing values of discipline and self-confidence. He highlighted Taekwondo's popularity in Jordan and its international achievements, attributing these successes to the backing of the Hashemite leadership and Prince Rashid's guidance.
Abdallat also acknowledged the Prime Minister's support and the Ministry of Youth's pivotal role, citing the partnership between the Ministry and the Federation as a model of successful institutional cooperation. This collaboration is set to expand, involving more youth and sports initiatives across the kingdom. The ceremony concluded with a performance by program graduates and a black belt testing.
