Tashkent: President of the Jordan Olympic Committee Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein participated in the 46th General Assembly meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The meeting, held on Monday, saw significant developments in the leadership of the OCA.
According to Jordan News Agency, the General Assembly elected Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani as President of the OCA. Sheikh Joaan will complete the remainder of the current term, taking over from former President Raja Randhir Singh, who stepped down due to health reasons.
Prince Faisal extended his congratulations to Sheikh Joaan, expressing his hopes for success in advancing the Asian Olympic Movement. In addition to his participation in the assembly, Prince Faisal attended a meeting hosted by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, with OCA meeting participants.
