Amman: The police on Sunday urged Jordanians planning to attend public screenings of the national team's match against Algeria on Tuesday morning to comply with organisational and security instructions to ensure public safety and facilitate smooth entry and exit procedures.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) stated that the match will be broadcast at the Roman Amphitheater, Hashemite Square, the Odeon Amphitheater, and other designated locations across the Kingdom. Venue gates will open well before kickoff, scheduled for 6:00 a.m., and people who would like to watch the match are encouraged to arrive early and cooperate with security personnel and organisers.
Attendees are asked to remain within designated areas allocated for the general public, families, media representatives, and persons with disabilities. The PSD called for keeping entrances, exits, and passageways clear, avoiding gatherings in undesignated areas, and respecting venue capacity limits.
Entry will be managed according to an approved organisational plan, with spectators directed to additional viewing areas when necessary in coordination with the relevant authorities. The PSD urged fans not to bring any items that could endanger the safety of attendees or damage the venues to preserve public safety, protect the historical nature of the sites, and maintain their cleanliness.
The PSD called on Jordanians to cooperate with security personnel deployed at venues to provide assistance, deliver services, and manage traffic, ensuring the event is held safely.
