Jaber:Interagency security forces successfully prevented an attempt to smuggle two million Captagon pills at the Jaber Border Crossing, as announced by the Public Security Directorate (PSD) official spokesperson on Sunday.
According to Jordan News Agency, the operation was spearheaded by the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) in collaboration with Jordan Customs and state security entities. This coordinated effort followed targeted intelligence regarding a freight vehicle inbound to the Kingdom.
Security personnel intercepted the truck upon its arrival at the border facility, resulting in the detention of its occupants. A thorough forensic search uncovered the illicit pills hidden in structural compartments within the vehicle's chassis, apparently intended for re-export to a neighboring country.
Specialized investigators have detained the suspects and commenced legal proceedings to dismantle the broader smuggling network involved in this operation.
