Amman, Rescue teams found the body of a man, who had been reported missing, in a pond that formed after torrential rains triggered flooding.
The Public Security Department’s (PSD) spokesman on Wednesday said the Civil Defense Department (CDD) staff immediately started search and rescue operations in Madaba’s Khan al Zabib, after receiving the missing person’s report.
The CDD’s rescue teams’ search efforts covered 20 kilometers, added the spokesman, urging citizens to avoid low-lying areas where water pools form and to not take risks by crossing roads while water levels are high whether on foot or by vehicle.
