Amman: The Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced that its Family Protection Department received a complaint from a man and his sister, alleging they were assaulted by their father and siblings. Authorities promptly investigated the complaint, referred the alleged victims for medical examination, and detained all involved parties, subsequently sending the case to court.
According to Jordan News Agency, a PSD spokesperson clarified that a video shared by the complainant, which depicted him tied with ropes and subjected to both physical and psychological abuse, was recorded several months ago. This footage has been seized by the authorities and submitted to the judiciary for further examination.
Furthermore, the Family Protection Department has initiated a social study to monitor the welfare of the complainants and ensure they receive the necessary support services.
