Police Saturday arrested a 16-year-old suspect of killing a child after throwing a “brick” from the top of their rooftop that landed on the head of the child and killed him, according to a Public Security Directorate (PSD) report.
The PSD media office reported that the East Amman Police Directorate was phoned yesterday about a 12-year-old boy who had been killed after being hit on the head by a brick during football celebrations in the Marka area in East Amman.
The suspect said during an investigation that he had thrown the brick at a celebrating gathering out of spite and because he was unhappy with the result of a football match, it added.
The report added that the suspect would be prosecuted in court.
