Police Announce Full Closure of Wadi Araba Road After Major Landslide

Amman: The Highway Patrol Department has announced the complete closure of the Wadi Araba Road at the Martyr Memorial area after a landslide destroyed approximately 70 meters of the road with a depth of around 12 meters.

According to Jordan News Agency, authorities have redirected vehicles traveling to Wadi Araba and Aqaba to the Desert Highway. Additionally, traffic originating from the Wadi Araba customs area and heading toward Amman is being rerouted via the Desert Highway.

Patrols are currently stationed at the site to guide and assist motorists. Travelers are advised to adhere to the instructions provided by security personnel to ensure their safety.
