Amman:Abdali Boulevard is set to host Pocket Gamer Connects Jordan 2026 on November 7-8, aiming to bring together international gaming companies and industry professionals. The event will offer free and subsidized participation opportunities for Jordanian developers, startups, and students.
According to Jordan News Agency, Nour Khrais, founder and CEO of Maysalward, emphasized that the conference is a leading international event for the video games industry. It will gather game developers, representatives from international companies, investors, publishers, and industry experts.
Khrais noted that hosting the event at Abdali Boulevard underscores its significance as a hub for business, technology, and creativity. The venue will facilitate various activities, including gaming exhibitions, workshops, and interactive events, fostering connections and experience exchanges among developers, entrepreneurs, creative professionals, and students.
The conference is organized in collaboration with Games Design Week, Maysalward's initiatives The Capsule and The Space, and 962.Games. This partnership aims to bolster Jordan's gaming industry, enhance the presence of startups and independent developers, and link local talent with international markets.
International gaming and technology companies, along with organizations like the International Trade Centre, will participate, offering Jordanian developers and companies opportunities for international partnerships, expertise exchange, and exploration of global market prospects.
The event is expected to draw over 1,500 participants from approximately 400 companies, with 50 speakers and experts addressing key industry trends in game development, emerging technologies, publishing, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
This year's edition will provide reduced registration fees for independent Jordanian developers, startups, and students, aiming to lower financial barriers and increase access to the international event. Participants can showcase games and projects, attend sessions and workshops, and connect with international companies, publishers, and investors.
The program includes free school visits and educational activities, providing students with practical opportunities to learn about game design and development and explore educational and career paths in the industry.
Specialized areas and activities such as Games Design Week, the Jordanian Games Zone, and a Build and Create Lab will feature at the conference, alongside professional sessions, meetings, and community activities.
The event seeks to reinforce Jordan's status as a regional hub for the video games industry by supporting startups and independent developers, promoting entrepreneurship, and creating new learning, cooperation, and investment opportunities.
The emphasis on free and subsidized participation reflects efforts to make the industry more accessible to Jordanian talent, particularly young people, students, and early-career developers. The conference underscores the video games industry's role as a growing economic and creative sector that integrates technology, education, and entrepreneurship, while opening international market opportunities for Jordanian talent.
