Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Tuesday directed relevant authorities to initiate an investigation to identify the cause of the collapse of the Jabal Al Weibdeh building in Amman.
Upon arriving at the site of the collapsed building earlier Tuesday, Khasawneh instructed specialised teams to exert maximum efforts until evacuation and rescue operations conclude.
The Prime Minister had arrived at the site of the collapsed building to oversee the rescue and evacuation operations carried out by the civil defense teams and the specialized agencies.
The Prime Minister also directed relevant authorities to ensure the safety of the residential buildings adjacent to the collapsed building, as well as ensuring that they haven’t been damaged due to the accident.
