PM meets Saudi Hajj minister over pilgrimage-related cooperation

Prime Minister, Dr. Bishr Khasawneh, on Wednesday stressed the Jordanian-Saudi “solid brotherly” relations, under the two countries’ leaderships.

Speaking at a meeting with Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah and the accompanying delegation, Khasawneh lauded Saudi Arabia’s efforts and measures to organize the Hajj season this year, and receive pilgrims from various Muslim countries, for the first time in two years, due to the Covid-19 pandemic-induced repercussions.

The PM also stressed the importance of providing all the needs of Jordanian pilgrims and providing them with all possible means to perform piligrimage.

In addition, the PM pointed to the high level of joint coordination between Jordan’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Saudi Hajj and Umrah to facilitate procedures for Jordanians to complete pilgrimage rituals.

Al-Rabiah, for his part, stressed the importance of the bilateral “strong brotherly” relations, commending the cooperation and coordination level between the two countries in various fields.

He also lauded efforts made by the Jordanian Hajj mission to improve level of services provided to Jordanian pilgrims.
