PM meets Lebanese parliament’s speaker…1st, final add

In press remarks, Khasawneh expressed happiness to visit Lebanon, accompanied by a group of ministers, as an expression of solidarity and continuous support of His Majesty to brotherly Lebanon and to provide Beirut with its basic needs.

The PM noted the visit comes shortly after the formation of the new Lebanese government, headed by Najib Mikati, and the phone call held with Mikati.

The PM also referred to the King’s commitment through his international and regional contacts to crystallize some “tangible” approaches to secure Lebanon’s basic needs.

Noting appreciation expressed by Lebanese President, Prime Minister, and Parliament Speaker to His Majesty, Khasawneh said Jordan shares similar feelings at the level of the Hashemite leadership, the government and the Jordanian people, who are linked to Lebanon with “close and historic bonds.”

Continuing: “These close ties reflect solidarity to overcome difficulties and maximize benefits of joint cooperation and coordination to prospects that serve our peoples, our institutions, and our state of stability.”
