PM extends Defense Order No. 28 until June 2022

Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh, on Wednesday decided to extend the provisions of Defense Order No. 28 of 2021, issued under the provisions of Defense Law No. 13 of 1992, related to defaulters’ imprisonment, until June 30, 2022.

The decision comes in consideration of financial and economic conditions resulting from the Covid pandemic.

On the other hand, the cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh, approved an amending regulation for the administrative organization regulation of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) of 2021.

The amendments aim at creating an organizational unit to follow up on grants, initiatives and projects and evaluate their impact, in light of the HCD’s direction to launch a program for small grants to support projects and initiatives implemented by associations in the field of disability.

The cabinet also approved mandating reasons for a draft regulation amending the regulation for licensing pharmaceutical factories and fees collected from them for 2021, and mandating reasons for draft regulation of the administrative organization regulation for the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation (JRTV) of 2021, and referred them to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau to proceed with procedures for their approval in accordance with the rules.
