Planning minister meets German officials…1st, final add

For their part, the German officials emphasized Jordan’s “important” role in the region as a “stabilizing” factor, and the reforms that Jordan is implementing in various fields, expressing thanks to Jordan for hosting a “large” number of refugees.

Voicing their understanding of the challenges facing Jordan, the German officials highlighted the need to continue providing support to the Kingdom’s budget to meet the funding needs and provide financial and technical support to Jordan.

This plegded support is designed to deal with Jordan’s urgent and priority needs using the financing tools available to the German side, which have “proven their effectiveness in supporting the Kingdom,” according to the German officials.

The officials also announced their continued efforts to maintain support to Jordan in these circumstances.

Later, Shraideh held an economic dialogue with a group of German businesspeople and investors, which saw participation of German Parliament members and president of the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The minister briefed the attendees on the privileges Jordan provides in various sectors, as an “attractive” destination for investment, urging German investors to benefit from these facilitations.

Shraideh stressed the importance of continuing meetings for both sides’ businesspeople, in a bid to to explore the possibilities of investment and trade between the two countries.

Discussing Amman’s future action in this regard, the minister voiced Jordan’s resolve to to modernize its investment system and business environment, by implementing specific procedural and legislative reforms.
