Petra’s heritage village hosts Ukrainian concert

The Ukrainian Embassy in Jordan, in cooperation with the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA), on Wednesday held a concert in the heritage village in Al-Baidha area in Petra, southern Jordan.

The concert was performed by the famous Ukrainian pianist, Evgeny Khmara, in the presence of the Ukrainian ambassador to Jordan, Myroslava Shcherbatiuk, the PDTRA Chief Commissioner, Suleiman Farajat, and a number of Ukrainian nationals and visitors in Jordan.

The concert was held on the occasion of the national holidays of the two countries and to encourage Ukrainian tourism to Jordan, following a cooperation agreement that was signed between the PDTRA and the embassy to encourage tourism and cultural exchange between the two countries.

The Petra Heritage Village is a new product recently developed by the PDTRA and aims to create a tourism investment product that prolongs the stay of tourists and benefits the local communities in the region.

The village includes a large amphitheater, a fully equipped concert theater, shops, as well as multi-purpose halls, tourist restaurants, and a number of facilities.
