Petra and Royal Documentation Center Discuss Collaboration on Jordanian Historical Documents

Amman: Director General of the Royal Hashemite Documentation Center, Muhannad Mubaideen, and Director General of the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Fairouz Mubaideen, discussed avenues to enhance cooperation in publishing media materials related to historical documents that highlight various periods of Jordanian history.

According to Jordan News Agency, both directors, along with the agency’s press department heads, explored strategies for disseminating Jordanian historical documents through news reports, feature stories, and data journalism. They aimed to present the information in an engaging manner, including the possibility of transforming media materials into videos for Petra’s digital platforms to expand audience reach.

The discussion concluded with an agreement to draft a memorandum of understanding to be signed at a later stage. This memorandum aims to publish Jordanian historical documents through distinctive media content aligned with national objectives, thereby preserving Jordan’s historical legacy and providing accurate, comprehensive information to the public.

Muhannad Mubaideen praised Petra’s role in strengthening Jordanian media and its efforts in disseminating news and historical information that reflect the Kingdom’s rich past. He affirmed the Documentation Center’s commitment to supporting these initiatives and promoting Jordanian historical awareness.

Fairouz Mubaideen expressed Petra’s readiness to collaborate in showcasing Jordanian documents that illustrate the Kingdom’s history and development. She emphasized the importance of these documents in enhancing public understanding of Jordan’s heritage and fostering national awareness.

She also noted Petra’s dedication to developing compelling media content that effectively presents historical documents. This includes leveraging modern technologies to expand access to information and encourage discussions on Jordan’s history.
