PDTRA Advances Green Belt and Roadside Beautification Project in Petra

Petra: Chief Commissioner of the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) Fares Braizat announced that significant progress is being made in the "Green Belt and Roadside Beautification" project in Petra District. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the vegetation cover and improving the landscape in accordance with the region's environmental and aesthetic goals.

According to Jordan News Agency, Braizat emphasized that the project is crucial for environmental preservation and for bolstering the district's aesthetic and tourism appeal. He highlighted the importance of continued collaboration and coordination among the agriculture and environment directorates and other relevant stakeholders to implement the project sustainably and scientifically.

During a recent meeting attended by members of the Board of Commissioners, Director of the Petra Agriculture Directorate Saleh Majali, Director of the Petra Environment Directorate Issa Hassanat, and Acting Director of the Agricultural Resources Development Directorate at PDTRA Salem Shamasin, Braizat reviewed the progress of the project. Discussions were held on strategies to enhance the project's implementation in its next phase.

Braizat stressed the need for ongoing consultation among all involved parties to ensure that the project's goals are met. This aligns with PDTRA's vision to protect the environment and elevate Petra as a premier tourism destination.
