Amman: The Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee convened with an American student delegation from the School for International Training (SIT) to discuss Jordan’s diplomatic and political initiatives. Committee Chair MP Dina Bashir highlighted the longstanding collaboration between Jordan and the United States, emphasizing ongoing political modernization and reforms aimed at empowering women and younger Jordanians.
According to Jordan News Agency, Bashir elaborated on the significant role of Jordanian diplomacy, which is led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, in promoting dialogue, resolving conflicts, and maintaining regional stability. The committee members, including Bakr Haisa, Mohammad Jarrah, and Mai Zayadneh, underscored Jordan’s commitment under His Majesty’s leadership to the Palestinian cause. They advocated for the swift establishment of a Palestinian state and called for an immediate cessation of the Israeli war on Gaza.
The discussions also covered Jordan’s humanitarian initiatives, particularly its efforts in hosting and supporting refugees, reaffirming the country’s dedication to regional peace and stability.
