Amman: The Parliamentary Irada and Islamic National bloc on Saturday applauded security agencies’ and the Anti-Narcotics Department’s crackdown on drug smuggling and trafficking. The bloc emphasized that these efforts serve as “effective protection for youth and society from slipping into a scourge that menaces social, economic, and health security.”
According to Jordan News Agency, the bloc stated that addressing drug-related issues requires a comprehensive approach beyond legal measures. It highlighted the importance of raising community awareness and implementing preventive programs in educational institutions and neighborhoods.
The bloc underscored that education is as crucial as security actions, advocating for a combined strategy to combat drug abuse effectively. It praised the anti-drug personnel for their dedication and professionalism, noting that the successes in the field result from continued coordination with official bodies and civil society.
