Parliament speaker, Libyan foreign minister talk ties, cooperation

Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Ahmed Safadi on Monday discussed with the Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Najla El Mangoush mechanisms to enhance joint cooperation in all fields to serve the two countries and peoples.

Safadi stressed the Jordanian position, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, to support the unity and stability of Libya, preserve its national interests, and fulfill the aspirations of the Libyan people, stressing that the Lower House is committed to coordination with the Libyan Parliament.

For her part, the Libyan minister gave an overview of efforts to boost stability and unify the national institutions in the country, underscoring her country’s appreciation for Jordan’s positions under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in support of Libya and the political track and for the Jordanian role in achieving security and stability in the region.
