Parliament continues to discuss several important issues in presence of government

The Parliament, in its session Saturday, chaired by Speaker Yahya Ali Al-Rai, continued the discussion of a number of important issues and points in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, his deputies, and members of the National Salvation Government.

In the session, the Speaker of the Parliament emphasized the need for cooperation and solidarity among constitutional authorities to address the Yemeni people’s exceptional stage, which requires mobilizing capabilities, energies, and transparency to face aggression, blockade, and imbalances.

Al-Rai pointed out the size of the conspiracy and the economic and media war waged by the US-Saudi aggression coalition and its mercenaries against Yemen.

He said that the government’s request for discussion under the dome of Parliament reflects the presence of the state with its constitutional institutions and comes to strengthen the joint governmental-parliamentary performance aimed at overcoming the circumstances and consequences of aggression and blockade.

For his part, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of the meetings held under the dome of Parliament to discuss the concerns and sufferings of Yemeni citizens, including the questions and observations submitted by members of Parliament.

He referred to the consequences of the exceptional situation and the repercussions of the aggression and blockade, stressing the importance of the raised issues and topics that concern everyone.

Dr. Bin Habtoor stated that the budgets that were presented in the past and approved by the Parliament were classified and specified by items, as revenues from oil, gas, airports, ports, and foreign aid constitute 85 percent of them.

He added that those revenues today are under the control of the aggression coalition and its mercenaries, as well as Yemeni ports and airports, except for the port of Hodeida and limited flights via the Sana’a airport, while the revenues in the free governorates do not exceed 15 percent
