Parliament: 92 MPs deplore ‘barbaric’ attacks on Jerusalem

92 Jordanian lawmakers expressed their condemnation and denouncement of Israel’s attacks at Al-Aqsa Mosque and the people in Al-Quds Al-Sharif and decried Tel Aviv’s barbaric attacks on Gaza and Palestinian cities.

In a memo sent Tuesday to Prime Minister, Bishr Khasawneh, the deputies affirmed their stance to back His Majesty King Abdullah II in his support for the Palestinian cause, affirming Hashemite guardianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

The MPs demanded the government to take a “firm” stance to cut off diplomatic ties with Israel in response to violations transgressing the rights of sanctities and rejecting Israel’s policies to evict Palestinians from Jerusalem and its Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
