Gaza City: The Palestinian NGO Network has denounced the Israeli occupation’s attack on a humanitarian aid distribution center operated by the Ma’an Development Center on Al-Baraka Street in Deir al-Balah, located in the central Gaza Strip.
According to Jordan News Agency, the network issued a statement on Sunday reporting that occupation aircraft directly targeted the warehouse used for a food aid project implemented by the center in cooperation with the World Food Programme (WFP). The bombing resulted in serious injuries to three employees of the center, as well as several civilians.
The network emphasized that the warehouse has been used for a year to distribute food aid to displaced residents in Deir al-Balah, with its location coordinates previously shared with the WFP. The network expressed concern over what it described as part of the occupation’s systematic targeting of humanitarian organizations and aid workers, who provide assistance amidst an ongoing humanitarian crisis.
The statement further claimed that such attacks are part of a broader strategy of starvation and collective punishment, continuing a pattern of violence against the Palestinian population that has persisted for over 15 months. The network called for measures to ensure the safety of humanitarian organizations and workers and demanded that aid access to Gaza remain unimpeded.
