Al Balqa Applied University (AAU) President, Dr. Ahmed Fakhri Ajlouni, announced results of the 2022 Winter session of the Shamel exam, the annual comprehensive final exam for community college students.
Speaking in a press conference on Thursday, Ajlouni, who is also head of the higher committee for the exam, said the pass rate reached 62.39%, adding that 8,598 students sat for the exam, of whom a total of 5,364 passed.
Ajlouni also pointed to the “noticeable” hike in the number of students sitting for the exam, which reflects the increasing demand for applied education in AAU’s technical programs aimed to meet needs of the local and foreign labor market.
