London: British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper reported that more than 100,000 UK citizens have returned to the United Kingdom from the Middle East since the outbreak of the war with Iran. This represents about one-third of the 300,000 Britons who were in the region at the start of the conflict.
According to Jordan News Agency, Cooper told Parliament that many British citizens were stranded after airspace closures in several countries, noting that the figure includes both tourists and residents in Gulf states who returned to the UK temporarily.
