Oman Condemns Iranian Missile Strike on Qatar, Urges Immediate De-escalation

Muscat: Oman’s Foreign Ministry on Monday expressed the Sultanate’s strong condemnation of the recent regional escalation, attributing the current tensions to Israel’s June 13 attack on Iran and the subsequent exchange of missile strikes, including Iran’s latest assault on sovereign sites in the State of Qatar.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Sultanate denounced the Iranian strike as an unacceptable and condemned act that violates the sovereignty of a fellow Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member state. Oman said the attack undermines the principles of good neighborliness and risks widening a conflict that can only bring further destruction and instability to the region.

Oman affirmed its solidarity with Qatar and support for any measures taken to safeguard its security and stability.

The Sultanate called for an immediate halt to all military and missile operations and urged all parties to prioritize wisdom, return to peaceful negotiations, and adhere to international law as a means to resolve the conflict and achieve a just settlement through legitimate channels.
