New Access Pathway for Jordanian Expatriates to Social Security Services

Amman:The Social Security Corporation (SSC) has introduced a new mechanism for Jordanian expatriates to access its mobile application and electronic services without needing a digital identity. This initiative aims to improve service delivery for citizens living abroad, allowing them to monitor their insurance status and conduct transactions online.

According to Jordan News Agency, The SSC explained that expatriates can use the application by providing their national ID number, personal details, passport number, current country of residence, country code, and international phone number. Additionally, they must submit information about a first-degree relative residing in Jordan who has an active digital ID, including the relative's national ID, civil ID number, and phone number.

Once the application is submitted, an automated data verification process is launched, and a text message is sent to the designated relative. This relative is required to confirm the expatriate's information through their own SSC app account within 72 hours. After confirmation, the expatriate receives a link to set a password, allowing full access to their account and the app's digital services.

The SSC also mentioned ongoing upgrades to the mobile application, including a smart, responsive login interface and continuous enhancements to performance and services.
