MWL Appreciates GCC Ministerial Council’s Welcome of Contents of Global Conference for Building Bridges Between Islamic Schools of thought and Sects

Makkah: The Muslim World League (MWL) appreciated the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for welcoming the contents of the Global conference held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and organized by the MWL in Makkah under the title ‘Building Bridges Between Islamic Schools of Thought and Sects’ in the last blessed month of Ramadan.

The MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, expressed the MWL’s appreciation for the GCC Ministerial Council for valuing the Global Conference for Building Bridges Between Islamic Schools of thought and Sects, said a statement by the MWL General Secretariat, reiterating that this position embodies the approach of the GCC countries in strengthening the unity of the Islamic nation, consolidating its solidarity, surmounting all obstacles against the unity of its peoples, and deepening their sense of belonging to their nation, within the
framework of the national systems of the GCC countries, and their tireless efforts to confront the spread of sectarianism strife among Muslims.

Al-Issa confirmed on the MWL’s support for the members of GCC the Ministerial Council in everything they achieved in the 160th session, including positions, decisions and calls, especially their position regarding the tragic situation in the stricken Gaza Strip.

Al-Issa wished them success in their good endeavors towards their people and the entire world, within the framework of the GCC vision for regional security, which aims to maintain the stability of the region, achieve the prosperity of its countries and peoples, and enhance international security and peace.
