Mobile Children’s Museum Brings Interactive Learning to Petra

Petra: A mobile children’s museum kicked off its activities in Petra on Sunday, in an event organized by the Petra Youth Directorate in collaboration with the Children’s Museum Jordan. The program will run through Monday, April 28, and is aimed at children aged 5 to 12.

According to Jordan News Agency, the initiative is part of the museum’s national outreach efforts to bring interactive educational experiences to various governorates across the Kingdom. It features an integrated program that blends education with entertainment, designed to enhance children’s cognitive and sensory development in an environment that encourages exploration, experimentation, and creativity.

Petra Youth Director Fadi Fadoul highlighted the program’s role as a model of non-traditional education, emphasizing its contribution to fostering creativity and constructive engagement among children. He noted that the program includes a range of interactive activities focused on learning through play and hands-on experiences.

The museum activities are held daily in two sessions: from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for school groups, and from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for families.
