Ministry to launch medication delivery service in February

Chronically-ill people will have the option to have their monthly medications delivered to their homes under a new service that will be launched in February.

The Ministry of Health said Sunday the first stage of the new delivery service will target patients who usually receive their drugs from the Al-Bashir public hospital.

It said the move, in cooperation with the Electronic Health Solutions Company (Hakeem), is aimed at sparing patients time and effort and reducing congestion in healthcare facilities.

The ministry indicated that the project dubbed “Your Health, Comfort, is a Priority” could expand in the future to include more hospitals and clinics that run the health management system Hakeem.

It explained that those who want to access the optional service can sign up using My Hakeem application for smart gadgets or, alternately, visit myhakeem.jo for registration. However, it added, the process requires a one-off visit to the health facility where is patient file is located.
