Ministry launches e-services for economic activities

Amman: The Ministry of Investment on Sunday launched the first package of electronic investment services, which is related to licensing economic activities, as stipulated in the Investment Environment Law for the year 2022.

The new e-services include registration, licensing, incentives and exemptions applications, and issuance of investor cards, visas, and citizenship certificates, in addition to grievance requests submitted to a committee at the ministry, according to a statement.

The ministry said the new e-services are part of a service automation project that aims to facilitate and mechanize procedures for investors.

Investors can access the ministry’s website (www.moin.gov.jo) and apply for services they need for their projects, as authorities are obligated to respond to the request within 15 working days from the date of submission, the ministry explained. In case of no response within the given period, the application is automatically approved, it pointed out.

It said the project’s second phase entails connecting investment services with concerned authorities and automating all internal operations in the ministry.
