Amman: The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Jordan Tourism Board, in collaboration with tourism associations, have introduced the "Ahlan Jordan" digital platform. This initiative is designed to support the tourism sector and mitigate the impact of regional circumstances on travel activities.
According to Jordan News Agency, the platform is intended to offer practical solutions to stimulate inbound tourism, enhance access to Jordan's tourism attractions, and improve the competitiveness of the national tourism offerings. This launch is part of ongoing efforts by the ministry and the board to market Jordan as a tourism destination, assist tourism businesses and employees, and introduce innovative marketing tools to help the sector adapt to evolving conditions. These initiatives are being conducted alongside promotional campaigns in traditional markets and plans to expand into new ones.
"Ahlan Jordan" enables visitors to organize and book their trips digitally through a single platform, ensuring a streamlined travel experience and easier access to tourism services. The platform provides various tourism programs ranging from three to eight days, with prices starting at $180 per person. The packages include hotel accommodations, transportation, tour guide services, and entry tickets to several archaeological sites.
Accommodation in Petra is included in all tourism programs, aiming to increase hotel stays, improve occupancy rates at tourism facilities, stimulate economic activity in the city, and encourage tourists to explore other destinations across Jordan. In its initial phase, the platform targets visitors from Palestine, Palestinians of the 1948 territories, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The ministry and the board plan to extend the platform in future phases to encompass more markets, particularly African markets, to diversify tourism source markets and support sustainable tourism activity.
"Ahlan Jordan" is the first national platform dedicated to inbound tourism and represents an initiative by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to leverage digital solutions, in partnership with the tourism sector, to facilitate visitors' access to Jordan's tourism products and bolster the sector's contribution to the national economy.
