Ministry: Global fuel prices down in 1st week of September

The prices of oil derivatives in global markets dropped in the first week of the month of September, compared to average prices in August, according to Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources data.

90-octane gasoline prices recorded in the first week of September were at $828 dollars per ton, compared with its August average price of $913.7, a decrease of 9.4 percent, according to the data.

The price of diesel rose from $1019.9 per ton to $1020.6, an increase of 0.1 percent, while kerosene prices decreased from $1090.3 dollars per ton to $1088.7, or 0.1 percent, it said.

In the first week of September, the price of Brent crude recorded $91.5 per barrel, compared to $100.2 in August, it said.
