Minister of Education Honors Student for Gold Medal Win at China’s Cybersecurity Olympiad

Amman: Minister of Education Dr. Azmi Mahafzeh honored Abdul Aziz Zghoul, a BTEC Information Technology major student from Ibn Al-Ameed Secondary Boys School, for his outstanding achievement.

According to Jordan News Agency, Zghoul participated in the International Junior Cybersecurity Olympiad (IJCO) in China and clinched the gold medal in the individual RANK1 category with the highest global score, securing first place worldwide. In addition, he earned a silver medal in the team category.

The honoring ceremony was attended by Dr. Muhammad Ghaith, the Ministry's Secretary-General for Vocational and Technical Education. The minister also recognized teacher Eng. Firas Jarar for his role in introducing the competition to students and providing tutoring and resources to help them succeed.

Dr. Mahafzeh expressed pride in Jordan's students, acknowledging the excellence shown by the Kingdom's schools in international arenas. He also praised the efforts of school administrations, teachers, and parents for creating an environment conducive to such achievements.
