The Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, has held several meetings with ministers and officials during the seventh Future Investment Initiative (FII7) forum. These meetings aimed to strengthen economic relations and trade cooperation.
The Minister met with former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Swedish Minister of International Cooperation and Foreign Trade Johan Forssell, International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Finnish Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Ville Tavio, and the Special Representative of the European Union for the Gulf Region, Luigi Di Maio.
Additionally, the Deputy Minister of Commerce, Dr. Iman bint Habbas Al-Mutairi, and the Director General and CEO of Business Finland, Nina Kopola, held a bilateral meeting to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and business partnerships. They reviewed promising opportunities in vital sectors and advanced technologies and discussed how to facilitate the start and practice of economic businesses and stimulate entrepreneurship and innovation.
These meetings were part of the activities of the FII7 forum held under the theme "The New Compass." A large number of decision-makers and international leaders participated in the event, during which the global challenges facing the world in the fields of economy, technology, investment, and climate were highlighted.
