Amman: Minister of Public Works and Housing, Maher Abul Samen, conducted an inspection of the ongoing improvement and development projects at the Omari border crossing center with Saudi Arabia.
According to Jordan News Agency, during the inspection, the minister assessed the progress and completion rates of the various projects that are part of the tender floated for enhancing the border crossing. He was updated on the completed and ongoing initiatives aimed at advancing the center's facilities to improve the work environment and elevate the level of services for travelers.
The minister emphasized the need to intensify efforts and expedite project completion in line with the approved schedule, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and quality standards. He highlighted the importance of these developments in boosting the efficiency of the center's facilities and the services provided to travelers.
The project's objectives include building and maintaining restrooms, upgrading lighting systems, installing new light points, setting up canopies, and renovating rest areas. Additionally, the activities aim to maintain and develop several existing amenities while executing other construction and service works within the center's premises.
