Minister Calls for Enhancing Water Supply Services and Efficiency

Amman: Minister of Water and Irrigation, Raed Abu Soud, has advocated for improvements in the efficiency of water supply services and urged addressing citizens' concerns with the highest level of responsibility. During his recent visit to the Jordan Water Company, Miyahuna, Abu Soud engaged in a comprehensive tour of the company's facilities, scrutinized customer services, and observed the mechanisms of water supply.

According to Jordan News Agency, the minister, in the company of Miyahuna's CEO, Mohammad Kharabsheh, underscored the critical need for vigilant monitoring of water supply across all areas, including the governorates surrounding Amman. Abu Soud emphasized the importance of proactive citizen engagement to better understand their needs and strengthen partnerships to ensure the successful implementation of the Kingdom's water sector strategy.

Abu Soud also highlighted the necessity for launching effective technical plans to tackle water challenges, particularly during periods of heightened demand. In response, Kharabsheh outlined Miyahuna's ongoing efforts to enhance service delivery to citizens, reduce water loss, and advance the company's technical and professional capabilities to provide top-notch services.

Kharabsheh further detailed the ongoing execution of preparedness plans aimed at meeting the demands of the summer of 2026, which includes developing various scenarios and necessary measures to secure additional water sources. He emphasized that the true benchmarks of success are the actions taken to elevate readiness and performance levels, the preparation of work plans for the summer of 2026, and the assurance of continuous water and sanitation services for all company subscribers in the served areas.
