Minister: 60,000 Families Benefited from Royal Makruma

Amman: Social Development Minister Wafa Bani Mustafa announced that aid distributed across Jordan is a generous royal makruma for families benefiting from the National Aid Fund, coinciding with His Majesty King Abdullah II's birthday and before the start of the holy month of Ramadan. A total of 60,000 families will receive JD100 shopping vouchers each, amounting to JD6 million, dispensed by the Military and Civil Consumers Corporations.

According to Jordan News Agency, beneficiary families were identified through a computerized system based on National Aid Fund data to ensure fairness and eligibility. Priority was given to families who did not receive aid in the previous year, with considerations for equitable distribution and geographical inclusion.

The minister stated that the aim is to gradually reach all National Aid beneficiaries in stages over the coming years.
