Today’s meeting, headed by the Governor of Marib, Ali Taaiman, discussed mechanisms for implementing the outcomes of the provinces’ workshop, development partners, and development work policies.
The meeting, in the presence of the directors of the relevant executive offices, the Agricultural Committee and the coordinators of the Bonyan Foundation, touched on the status of the agricultural cooperative societies that had been established, the procedures related to establishing multi-purpose cooperative societies in the directorates and completing the procedures for establishing troubled societies.
The attendees stressed the importance of understanding the general vision for developing ,activating cooperative work and implementing it according to a clear plan ,timetable, identifying model directorates for cooperative work, setting an executive mechanism for work, preparing and strengthening cooperative work for the rest of the directorates to reach the exemplary level.
The meeting approved the adoption land
of Al-Janatain Association in Serwah District as a model association, and the development of a chronic plan to hold training courses for cadres of local authorities in the districts in the field of cooperative development work, as well as support for agricultural cooperative societies.
