Medicines available at gov’t hospitals, health centers at 95%-Health ministry

All chronic and regular medications are availabile at Jordan’s warehouses, hospitals and health centers countrywide, Director of the Supply and Procurement Directorate at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Maher Zeyoud, said.

In his interview with “Petra,” on Sunday, he added that medicines are available at a rate of 95 percent of all kinds.

To solve any drug-related shortages, Zeyoud noted the insured patient can get the medicine from private sector pharmacies, with a letter showing its unavailability at gov’t hospitals.

In such a case, the gov’t will cover the treatment costs, he announced.
