Riyadh: Minister of Government Communication and Official Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani held a series of bilateral meetings with counterparts from Arab countries, on the sidelines of the fifth edition of the Saudi Media Forum 2026.

According to Jordan News Agency, in meetings with the ministers from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Yemen, and Palestine, Momani noted His Majesty King Abdullah's directives to enhance relations with Arab countries in various fields.

He also informed Syrian Information Minister Hamza Mostafa of Jordan's continued support for Syrian media and the training of Syrian journalists, reiterating backing for Syrian efforts to achieve stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

Momani discussed with Yemen's Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Moammar Al-Eryani, media cooperation in the service of common interests and Yemen's security and stability. He reaffirmed Jordan's support for the legitimate Yemeni government and efforts towards a comprehensive political solution that guarantees a secure and stable future for the country.

He reiterated a call for ending the Yemeni crisis in accordance with the agreed-upon frameworks to preserve the country's security, stability, and sovereignty.

In his encounter with Palestinian Minister and General Supervisor of Official Media Ahmad Assaf, Momani urged closer media cooperation to serve the Palestinian cause. He reiterated Jordan's position on the need to make progress in implementing the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and to link stabilization efforts to a clear political horizon for a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.

Momani stressed that the future of Gaza must be based on unity with the West Bank, as an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory. He called for concerted regional and international efforts to halt illegal Israeli practices in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, which undermine the chances of a just and lasting peace. He also stated that Israel should respect the historical and legal status quo of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
