Maqasid Charity Hospital Provides Free Medical Care to 3,714 Patients in 2026

Tafila: A medical team from Maqasid Charity Hospital, affiliated with the Zakat Fund of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, treated 331 patients during a free medical day held in the Bsira district of Tafila governorate.

According to Jordan News Agency, the hospital's Director General, Dr. Bassam Shloul, reported that a medical team, comprised of various specialties, participated in the medical day. The event was conducted under the auspices of the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Khalaileh, represented by Director General of the Zakat Fund, Dr. Abdul Smirat.

Dr. Shloul detailed that the medical staff conducted clinical and laboratory tests for the patients and dispensed necessary medications free of charge. The teams also utilized ultrasound equipment to examine pregnant women and provided required treatments.

During the current year, Dr. Shloul noted that the number of beneficiaries of the free medical days implemented by the hospital has reached 3,714 patients over a total of 8 free medical days. Since its inception in 2018, the hospital has conducted approximately 128 free medical days in various governorates of the Kingdom, treating over 70,000 patients.
