The Lower House’s National Guidance, Media and Culture Committee denounced the heinous crime committed by the Israeli occupation forces when they assassinated Palestinian journalist, Shireen Abu Aqleh, in cold blood and in a premeditative manner.
“The killing of civilians, journalists and media professionals is a terrorist and brutal act, an excessive disgusting sadism that is unreasonable and the like of which has never been recorded in history,” head of the committee, MP Yasar Khasawneh said in a statement.
The committee called for granting journalists and media professionals freedom and full immunity in movement, speech and work.
