Local administration ministry discusses work plan for year 1445 AH

A meeting held on Sunday, chaired by Minister of Local Administration Ali al-Qaisi, discussed the Ministry’s work plan for the year 1445 AH.

The meeting touched on the level of implementation and achievement of the Ministry’s plan for the year 1444, the difficulties and problems it faced, and ways to overcome them.

Al-Qaisi stressed the importance of building the projects of the 1445 AH plan on objective and realistic indicators that can be implemented and touch the needs of citizens.

He stressed the need for the projects and activities of the plan to contribute to the development of the administrative performance of the ministry and to enhance its role in monitoring and supervising local authority bodies and supporting them.

Minister al-Qaisi urged to avoid the shortcomings that accompanied the work during the past year, and the need to allocate funds for the plan projects to ensure their timely implementation, in a way that contributes to the advancement of the service and development reality of the administrative units in the capital’s Sana’a and other provinces.

He praised the interaction of the local authority and its efforts in commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, which was embodied through the large public presence in the capital Sana’a and the provinces.

The Minister of Local Administration affirmed that the Yemenis’ revival of Ashura remembrance confirms the connection and following the approach of Imam Hussein bin Ali, peace be upon them both, and drawing inspiration from his sacrifice and steadfastness on the truth despite the injustice he was subjected to, expressing his condolences to the revolutionary leadership and to all the people of the nation on this painful memory.

In turn, Undersecretary for the Control and Units Affairs Sector – Head of the Executive Unit of the National Vision in the Ministry, Jamal Al-Alawi, reviewed the projects and programs that will be implemented during the year 1445 AH.

The plan for the year 1445 AH included about 23 projects, the most important of which was building the capacities of the ministry’s cadres and local authority bodies, evaluating and correcting the organizational regulations for the ministry’s office, the secretariat offices and the provinces, preparing the guide for projects, as well as completing the local authority information system project in the ministry and completing the implementation of the network link between the ministry and administrative units.

It also included the preparation of a guide for developing services, simplifying procedures and evaluating government complexes that were targeted by the aggression’s warplanes in the provinces and districts, and many activities and programs related to the awareness aspect, strengthening steadfastness, supporting the fronts, and others.
